Description

This character was a popular trinket in the early 1900’s and was thought to bring good luck to the soldiers in the trenches. Said to be formed from splinters of the ‘True Cross’ of Christianity which had the power to dispel bad luck and cure illness, the design also incorporates elements of Irish leprechaun tradition.

This particular design was created with the help of Bafta Nominee artist Gaz Roberts from Thick Black Line and really brings out the original charm and identity of the trinkets. A Plastazote inanimate with lycra legs and arms, you can read a little more about the development of the design here.
